Step 1: Navigate to the "Features" sub section of the 'Content Manager'. Once there click on the PLUS (+) symbol, or the 'slideshow' link to expand the options within that section. Click on the 'Add Slide Show' link to begin the process.
Step 2: After you click on the 'Add Slide Show' link you will be taken to the following page, where you will create a unique name for your slideshow. In this particular case we used the name 'Sample Slide Show'. Once you have chosen a name, click the 'Save' button.
Step 3: You have now created a new slide show, however you are still missing one key component...images! To add new images to your slideshow, simply click on the 'Add Slide' link.
Step 5: Create a name for your new slide (In this case, we used the name 'sample slide 1'). From the 'Add Slide' window you have a few different options to choose from. You may either:
- Link to an image file, hosted on a fileserver (This may come in handy if you have images stored at a webservice, such as 'ImageShack' or 'Photobucket').
- You may upload an image file from your local computer.
** Note: only JPEG, and GIF filetypes will be accepted. There may be other image types you can upload, however we highly reccommend that you adhere to current web standards.
- Link to an image file already uploaded to your website. You may use the 'Browse Library' link to view all image files currently uploaded to your website.
We chose to upload an image file directly from our local machine.
Repeat this process for all the images you desire in the slide show.
You may add your slideshow anywhere in your website, by calling it with a unique tag, which you can fine from the 'Star' icon "Add feature tag to webpage...". The tag will resemble the following: [slide_show:1]
The ability to change slide duration has also been added. You may have noticed the "Show Each Slide For..." section from Step 3. This feature allows you to control exactly how much time passes (in seconds) before the slideshow will transition to the next slide.
